Galani

Galani is a settlement on the north side of the island and is named after the ancient Galinite mines that operated in the area. This is a traditional village with picturesque alleys and all-white houses, but also with few inhabitants now, as for the last 20 years the young people have left the place to the big urban centers. Being amphitheatrically built high on the hill, it has an excellent view to the beach of Sykamia. The access to Sykamia is possible both by highway and by a footpath for those who wish to walk in the exceptional natural landscape.
